What is the BikiniARTmuseum?

The BikinARTmuseum is the world's first museum for swimwear and bathing culture. We are historically competent and have the most complete and exclusive collection of swimwear, starting from 1870 until today. The special: Art objects from all over the world are enmeshed in visionary design and accompanied by electrifying stagings. When and where did the BikiniARTmuseum open?

The BikiniARTmuseum opened on 5 July 2020, the "World Bikini Day", 74 years after Louis Réard presented the "bikini" at the Molitor swimming pool in Paris. The lifestyle museum is located between Frankfurt and Stuttgart in Bad Rappenau, the capital of swimwear, directly at the traffic hub of the A6 motorway, central Paris Prague, near Heidelberg, in the gravitational field of 8 other international visitor magnets (A6 Boulevard).

How do I get to the BikiniARTmuseum?

The BikiniARTmuseum is located between Frankfurt and Stuttgart, directly on the A6 motorway, in the centre of Paris-Prague, near Heidelberg, in the gravitational field of 8 other international visitor magnets (A6 Boulevard).

Directions and public transport:
- By car: You will find us directly on the motorway A6, exit 35-Bad Rappenau. Free parking spaces are available for you in front of the door.
- Public transport: Line 685 Stop: Bad Rappenau-Bonfeld Gewerbepark Buchäckerring (by foot in approx. 1 min) Line 683 Stop: Bad Rappenau Bonfeld Sawmill or Biberacherstraße (by foot in approx. 15 min)
- Bicycle: Bicycle parking spaces on site
- Taxi: 7 min from Bad Rappenau train station, 15 min from Heilbronn main train station

Are there parking spaces?

Sufficient free parking spaces are available for you in front of the door. For buses we also offer over 100 bus parking spaces.

Are there restaurants or a café on site?

In the BikiniARTmuseum you can expect a wide variety of restaurants: dean&david, lifestyle fresh cuisine, breakfast offers, homemade burgers, delicious coffee and a regional wine bar. A new urban meeting place, a place where culture and pleasure meet.
DJ bookings and live music evenings are also planned for Friday and Saturday evenings.

Can I take the pram with me to the museum?

The visit to the BikiniARTmuseum is almost barrier-free for visitors with prams. Pushchairs may be used in our rooms. For safety reasons, e.g. when there are large numbers of visitors, we reserve the right to regulate access with prams.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately no, there is no exception for hygienic reasons. However, you are very welcome to bring your animal companions to the adjacent 24-Autohof.

Where can I buy tickets?

Order your ticket stress-free in our online ticket shop. Here you can book quickly and easily and you save yourself the hassle of queuing. You will receive an immediate confirmation and your tickets will be sent to you by e-mail.
Simply show the QR code of your online-ticket on your mobile phone or bring the printed online-ticket with you.

Of course, tickets can also be purchased at the museum box office on site!

How much does a ticket cost?

Adults: 18,00 €
Reduced: 14,00 € (child, youth up to and including 17 years, apprenticeship, FSJ, BfD)
Children up to and including 7 years: Free of charge.

Free admission on all Thursdays for the citizens of Bad Rappenau.

Do you offer discounts?

We have discounts for children, students, severely disabled persons and groups.
In addition, there is free admission on all Thursdays for the citizens of Bad Rappenau.

Are there discounts for families?

Yes, with our Family&Friends fare, small groups of 4 or more people receive a €1 discount on every ticket, regardless of the ticket category. The Family&Friends fare is only available at the museum box office.

Are there discounts for visitors with a handicap?

Yes, we are particularly pleased to welcome handicapped visitors to our museum!
All visitors with a handicap of 50% or more therefore receive a 70% discount on the current adult admission price.
The accompanying person is of course free.

Are there any offers for groups?

Yes, we have great offers for bus travelers and groups! From 8 persons there are reduced tickets, one tour guide per 20 persons gets free entrance. A group menu of our award-winning gastronomy is available. Your bus driver eats on our house!

Here is the most important thing in advance: From 8 persons on we offer reduced tickets. In addition, one tour guide receives free admission for every 20 persons. The bus driver eats on our house! A group menu of our award-winning gastronomy is available. 

Are there guided tours? 

Yes, we are happy to offer various guided tours on request. An overview tour of the BikiniARTmuseum usually takes 1.5-2 hours. The all-inclusive price for up to 20 persons is 60€.
Guided tours on different topics can be organised on request.

Are there special rates? 

We have thought up two specials for you to match the theme!

At the SWIMWEAR SPECIAL DEAL all visitors in bikini, swimsuit or swimming trunks visibly WITH bathing shoes (e.g. flip-flops) will receive a 50% discount on the regular entrance fee.

The SURFER SPECIAL DEAL offers FREE ADMISSION for all visitors in bikini, swimsuit or swimming trunks visible WITH slippers and SURFBOARD.
