The famous presenter Julie Andrieu wore a bath costume from the 19th century: A trouser and tunic in the style of a sailor suit from 1890 made of navy blue wool and a waistcoat decorated with a plait. We lent the presenter a long woollen bathing suit, which bathing men wore to the sea between 1870 and 1910.

The BikiniARTmuseum also lent a pretty swimsuit with green and white stripes to the French TV show.

France3 has just broadcast a famous prime time TV show on the theme of the " Belle Epoque " 1890-1914 period, on the French Riviera, evoking different themes of that period, including the seaside resort.

Our partner in France, Ghislaine Rayer, co-author of the book "Bikini, la légende" with Patrice Gaulupeau, was invited to talk about swimsuit fashion at that eraand the BikinARTmuseum lent some historical swimsuits for the occasion.

The famous presenter Julie Andrieu was dressed in an iconic 1900's bathing suit: namely a set of trousers and tunic 1890 in navy blue wool serge decorated with braid, in the manner of a sailor's suit and the presenter wore the long woolen bathing suit that all men wore to go to the sea between 1870 and 1910.

The BikiniARTmuseum had also lent a pretty 1900-style bathing suit with green and white stripes.
